DHC-2-HA-Beaver-Net

Description

The DHC-2-HA-Beaver-Net is engineered specifically for the utility-class DHC-2 Beaver aircraft, configured for the aircraft’s “HA” variant (High-Altitude / modified) operations. This net is designed to act as an interior restraint system or cargo containment barrier in the aft or baggage compartment of the aircraft, preventing load migration during take-off, landing, or turbulence.

Constructed of aviation-grade webbing or heavy-duty mesh, reinforced around edge stitching and anchor points, the net is designed to meet the operational demands of bush-flying, remote cargo, and aerial utility roles typical of the DHC-2. Given the SWL rating of 2,000 lbs, this net is suitable for moderate internal load-restraint tasks (equipment, baggage, gear) rather than extremely heavy external sling loads.

Usage Notes & Maintenance

  • Prior to each flight or load carriage event, inspect the net, webbing, stitching, hardware, and anchor points thoroughly.

  • Ensure the net is correctly tensioned and anchored at all designated points; any slack or improper anchorage reduces safety margin.

  • Do not exceed the rated SWL of 2,000 lbs; dynamic loads (turbulence, abrupt manoeuvres, load shift) may be significantly higher than static loads.

  • This net is designed for interior cabin/baggage compartment restraint, not for external underslung operations unless explicitly certified for such use.

  • If the aircraft interior or anchor-point layout changes (seats removed, cargo door added, tie-down points modified), confirm fit and certification with the manufacturer or qualified engineer.

  • Store the net in a clean, dry area when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to UV radiation, chemical contamination, sharp folds, or compressive damage which may accelerate webbing aging.

  • Periodic inspection schedule: check for frayed webbing, cut/stressed fibers, corrosion of hardware, stitching integrity, strap adjustment mechanisms. Replace or service any component showing signs of wear.

Summary
